sum up of summer goodness
This message is going to get a little long-winded, but whatever, a lot of you seem to be enjoying this introspective-style of announcements more than just the generic “hey guys! tour was a blast! buy our stuff and thanks for the support” type of bullshit announcements a lot of bands are posting these days. In the next month, we’re going to be gathering all the video and pictures taken on the 16 Volt tour and uploading it all to www.cyanotic-online.com, myspace.com/cyanoticonline and YouTube to share with the many who couldn’t be there. For now, there’s a bunch of pics uploaded to cyanotic-online.com and the Cyanotic MySpace along with some really comprehensive blogs about the tour, our sleep deprivation experiments and a progress report on mental collapse/rebuild.
The tour with 16 Volt is officially over, the two hometown Chicago shows that came just after are over, the great times of being on the road with no sleep, no food and no way to piss except in empty bottles behind us. We call these the great times. That tour with our buddies in 16 Volt was definitely amongst the most enjoyable of all the ten tours we’ve done in our small lifespan as Cyanotic. The bonds forged, the friendships made, the good times spent will be engrained in our collective consciousness forever. We’re really sad it had to end, but all good things eventually have to go that route.

Before we knew it, we were back home in reality, with all those pesky real-life problems to deal with like rent and food and sleep. Thats what we refer to as the LETDOWNCRUSH. None-the-less, this last tour was so great that we’re already brainstorming a couple different options that should get Cyanotic back out on the road before the end of the year, playing new songs from the upcoming “Medication Generation” album and sharing good times with all the familiar faces from city to city. Its really what keeps us going, getting to do these intense touring sessions and getting to meet, hang out and enjoy the company of our fans. We’re ready to do it again. Its gonna happen, looks like it could be soon, just be sure to keep checking back for full details.

There are two very comprehensive interviews with Cyanotic recently posted on the main pages of ReGen and A Model of Control UK that go deep into talk about recent tours, the new Cyanotic album and all of the projects we’re involving ourselves with, from the Chemlab/Caustic/Cyanotic/Plastic Heroes unification that has become Prude, to the mysterious new Ondroid and Methbong projects.
Also at ReGen, check out the DJ podcast by Sean Payne of Cyanotic, featuring exclusive mashups of old school industrial classics from Thrill Kill Kult and Nitzer Ebb, along with a heavy helping of banging loud current stompers.

In the meantime, join the many others who are supporting the ‘Notic cause. Thanks to all you people and your word of mouth plague, “Cyanotic Presents: Gears Gone Wild” has officially become our biggest success yet. Thanks so much to all of you who put in a pre-order, most of you have been rockin’ this new compilation for a couple weeks now, but in case you haven’t got a copy yet, grab it direct from the Bit Riot Records store for $7. “Gears Gone Wild” features 20 tracks, 17 of ‘em exclusives from the likes of 16 Volt (vs Cyanotic), Acumen Nation, DJ? Acucrack, Rabbit Junk (vs Cyanotic), Prude (feat. Jared from Chemlab, Matt from Caustic and Sean from Cyanotic), enduser, Born Into Oblivion and more. If you like good music, do yourself a favor and check it out.

For now, its back to NUM studios to keep working on the album and planning more tours. Thanks for the continual support from everybody, its keeping us alive and happy doing what we’re doing, keep spreading the music like a virus. Lots in the works that you will all be hearing about, quite possibly two more tours before the end of the year, plus new music… damn.
